Q&A by Same Same

1. Do you think that the fans sometimes are going too far with their knowledge about you and our private life?

>No, not really. I think that stuff happens to all musicians..it's part of the gig. But nothing outrageous has happened to us as of late.

2. What frustrates you the most of being musicians?

>People judging you before they've actually listened to your music.

3. When you have a concert, do you have to simplify the way of playing the drums and the guitar?

>No, we don't really simplify or change anything from what we've recorded in the studio. There might be some backing tracks for keyboards or backing vocals, but pretty much what you hear on the record is what we play at our shows.

4. What is your way of putting your thoughts into a song & how do you come up with the melody for the song?

>It's always different. One of us will come up with an idea and then we work from there. We don't really have any exact method.

5. When you were in Hidell, you had a contract with EMI. The Fans were quite furious with their way of releasing and promoting your album. Now you are at Sony. What are the biggest differences between EMI and Sony?

>You can't really compare the two situations. There were complications within the band at Hidell which made things difficult with the label. EMI did a great job with what they had to work with. Sony has also been easy to work with. They've pretty much allowed us to make the type of music we wanted to make.

6. Was there any particular reason that you decided that Supermodel should be on your album?

>Because it's a song we've always liked and we felt it would be suitable for this project.

7. What do you think for yourselves is the reason that many fans are still around and supporting you?

>I would have to contribute that mostly to our music. During our recent experiences in Asia we've found that not all our fans recognize us visually, but humm a few bars of "Miss You Like Crazy" and they immediately remember the Moffatts.

8. Wasnt it a big change to live a normal life after the break-up back in 2001 and not touring the world anymore and now coming back again?

>Yes, it was a big change. There's a lot more work involved now that we're making music again.

9. You got and still get a lot of attention from people, doesnt boost that your ego?

>No. That may have been something that would have affected us when were first getting big with the Moffatts, but it really doesn't have any sway on us now.

10. Why is the song "City Lights" the most complex song on the album?

>I wouldn't necessarily say that it is. All of our songs are based on personal experiences, and in that regard this is actually one of the more straight-forward stories conveyed on the album (Clint's ride from Calgary to LA).
